Firm Establishment and History

Anthony P. Esson has been engaged in the practice of Architecture for more than twenty years. Through his firm Anthony Esson, Architect (AEA), he continues his commitment to improving the built environment through comprehensive planning, design and construction administration services. Years of providing complete and thorough design and construction administration on complex projects has honed AEA’s skill level during all aspects of project development. All clients, large or small, benefit from his professional communication skills, diversified project delivery methods, and construction administration expertise.

Anthony P. Esson began providing architectural services on a full time basis under the employment of DEM Architects & Associates in 1991. Anthony quickly became a key staff member and in 1993, began providing services as Project Architect on projects large and small, to clients throughout northern Michigan. In 2001, Mr. Esson became a partner in the successful firm, and continued as lead Principal through September of 2007.

When a struggling economy dictated that DEM Architects & Associates be dissolved, Anthony P. Esson, purchased portions of the firms assets and actively began providing services as Anthony Esson, Architect.

During his career, Anthony provided services on many projects including the new $ 3.5M Gaylord City Hall, the new Les Cheneaux Community Library located in Cedarville Michigan, the new $ 5.4M LTBB Odawa Governmental Center in Harbor Springs, and the $ 7.5M Capital Outlay Project at Kirtland Community College which included additions to both the Instructional Center and Administration Building and a new Art/Maintenance Building.
